THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Impact Measurement Project Lead to guide and execute the implementation of McMan’s Value for Investment (VfI) Evaluation Framework. This position sits at the intersection of data science, program evaluation, and organizational strategy. The primary objective is to transform raw data into actionable insights, ensuring that McMan can quantitatively and qualitatively demonstrate its impact to stakeholders, funders, and the community. As the architect of McMan’s organization-wide dashboards systems, this role will strengthen the McMan’s ability to track performance, measure outcomes, evaluate effectiveness, and support evidence-informed decision-making across the organization and within its programs. As a steward of our data integrity, the successful candidate will work collaboratively across departments to ensure evaluation practices are practical, meaningful, and aligned with organizational strategy and goals.
 
DAY-TO-DAY
Framework Implementation & Management

  • Lead the implementation of McMan’s Value for Investment (VfI) Evaluation Framework across the organization.
  • Translate the VfI framework into practical, program-level data collection processes.
  • Act as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) on evaluation methodologies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
 
Dashboard Development & Data Visualization

  • Design, build, implement, and maintain an organization-wide, automated dashboard system to track standardized evaluation indicators and KPIs.
  • Visualize standardized evaluation indicators and KPIs to provide real-time insights into program performance.
  • Ensure dashboards are user-friendly for both technical and non-technical staff.
 
Systems Optimization & Data Integrity

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of internal data collection systems and ensure they effectively support reporting, performance measurement, and evaluation needs.
  • Monitor and strengthen data integrity and internal data management practices to improve accuracy, consistency, and usability across programs.
  • Collaborate with program leads to ensure data systems effectively support reporting requirements.
 
Organizational KPI & Impact Reporting

  • Support regular KPI and impact reporting cycles for senior leadership, providing clear narratives on organizational performance.
  • Manage the amalgamation of quarterly and annual impact reports focusing on KPIs.
  • Analyze complex data sets and share findings in a clear, concise briefing that support decision-making and program improvement.
 
Special Projects & Collaborative Leadership

  • Lead ad-hoc data and evaluation projects as identified by senior leadership.
  • Support a culture of “continuous learning” by sharing findings across the organization.
  • Provide relevant training or information sessions explaining components of the framework, new metrics, data collection methods, reporting formats, and dashboard use.

IDEAL FIT
Education & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Evaluation, Data Analytics, Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in program evaluation, performance measurement, or data systems development.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing evaluation frameworks or performance measurement systems within a complex multi-program environment.
  • Previous experience designing and building dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel, or similar platforms).
  • Demonstrated experience managing data within databases or case management systems and producing regular KPI and organizational performance reports.

Technical Skills
Dashboard Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
Technical Languages: DAX, Power Query/M, SQL, VizQL
Advanced Excel: Pivot Tables and complex formulas.
System Fluency: Experience managing and extracting data from CRM or Case Management databases.
Analytical Rigor: Ability to interpret complex data sets and identify trends, outliers, and areas for growth.
 
Core Competencies
Strategic Communication: Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret and present complex information clearly by turning “data-speak” into compelling narratives
Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multi-phase initiatives independently.
Collaborative Mindset: A “people-first” approach to data, working effectively with frontline staff to improve data quality.

Assets

  • Experience working in human services, non-profit, or community-based environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and equity-centered evaluation practices is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with Value for Investment (VfI) or Social Return on Investment (SROI) methodologies.
